Tubal Reversal Surgery at A Discounted Rate

Dr. Charles Monteith will be joining the staff of Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center as a Tubal Reversal Specialist in July of 2008. By then, he will have trained with Dr. Berger in tubal reversal surgery for six months. The initial fee for surgery with Dr. Monteith will be a discounted rate of $4900. This rate will be available from July 21st to September 1st. This is an all-inclusive fee and includes all aspects of care. Many patients wanting to have children after tubal ligation are taking advantage of the reduced rate with Dr. Monteith.

I was just wondering if Dr B ever run any monthly specials. I know the tr is less than most, but just was curious if he would do something special for his potential tr patients. That would be nice if he did just thought I would ask. Hasty

I don't know how often, or if he even has done it before, but when I called late Nov '07, he had a special going, and I got the last spot available for the reduced amount, Dec 31 '07...by paying in full within 24 hours. Dawn M.

Hasty, I think if there is a special being ran you would find out when you call, I don't believe they tend to advertise specials. However, I know the other doctor was offering TR at a reduced price but I am not sure if he still is! GL!

The Time Between Tubal Ligation and Tubal Reversal Does Not Affect The Pregnancy Success Rate After Tubal Reversal Surgery

The time interval from tubal ligation to tubal reversal has not been shown to affect pregnancy success rate after tubal reversal surgery. Tubal reversal surgery can be done on women who have had their tubes tied twenty years ago or less than one year. There are many reasons that cause a woman to change her mind and desire more children after a previous sterilization. The desire for more children can happen immediately after tubal ligation or it can happen months or even years later.

Ok I had a HSG done today. I don't have the "official reports" yet. The doctor said I have about 2 inches on each side.
My type of TL was a fimbriectomy. So do you think I can have a TR?

I would suggest sending all reports to DR B for him to review...I dont think an answer can be given unless he is able to see the reports..and for anyone here to say yes or no...would be a non-medical opinion. Anxious...nope no time limit! Send your OR from your TL to Dr B for his review..... the time between my TL and TR was 11 years! There's ladies here with a greater gap between the two.
